"Maria has been an au pair in our family for 1 year, and during that time,
she has consistently demonstrated exceptional skills and qualities that make her a
perfect candidate. Maria possesses a natural ability to connect with
children. She has provided our twin nine year old boys with loving and stimulating care.
She is patient, creative, and always comes up with engaging activities that nurture their
development. Her ability to establish clear boundaries and enforce rules effectively has
fostered a positive and respectful environment for our children to thrive. Maria is a clear and articulate communicator. She also possesses excellent
interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with us and the children. Maria is highly adaptable and easily adjusts to new situations. She has
embraced our family culture and readily learned our customs. Her willingness to learn
and openness to new experiences make her a valuable asset in any environment."

"We are the Shum family and Maria was our au pair from June 2021-June 2022. She took care of
our 5 month old son at the time she arrived till he was 17 months when she left.
She did a wonderful job taking care of him as well as becoming a valued member of our
household. Some of the things Maria helped our son with was in meeting developmental
milestones such as sitting, crawling, standing, and even running. She also helped him master
sign language while teaching him how to speak new words. She also did a wonderful job in
giving him a cultural experience that I feel will impact him for many years to come. She took
care of him very gently and very lovingly and always had great ideas for activities as well. She
helped our son exceed all his milestones and Maria helped lay very important ground work for
the type of child that he is now.
Our family has some wonderful memories of our son with Maria and we will always cherish the
year that she was with us."

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have a Bachelor degree on education so I have been worked as a teacher during two years for first to sixth grade kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
During my time as an Au Pair, I specialized in Baby-Led Weaning (BLW) feeding techniques, introducing infants to a variety of nutritious foods while encouraging self-feeding and independence. I tailored meals to each child's developmental stage, ensuring they received the nutrients they needed while fostering a positive relationship with food.
In addition to indoor activities as arts and crafts, I believe in the importance of outdoor play for children's physical and emotional well-being. I organized and supervised outdoor adventures, such as nature walks, playground visits, and sensory play sessions. These experiences not only promoted physical health but also sparked curiosity and creativity in children as they explored the world around them.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important things to me are being trustworthy, adaptable, and skilled at communication, also, I enjoy creating a safe space for physical, emotional and mental development of the kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
In my nurturing journey with infants, I've been blessed to witness their precious milestones - from those wobbly first crawls to the triumphant first steps. Each moment filled my heart with excitement and left a lasting memory, reminding me of the magic of childhood.
One particularly sweet memory was taking a 14-month-old kid for a walk and witnessing his enchantment as he discovered his shadow for the very first time. His wide-eyed wonder and contagious giggles melted my heart, reminding me of the simple joys that make childhood so special.

My name is Kayla, and I have a strong background working with children of all ages in both home and school settings. I’ve previously worked as a nanny, where I gained hands-on experience providing attentive, reliable care while creating a safe and engaging environment for kids.
