I have also went on a job shadow where I went to elementary in stayed in a classroom and help out with the students. The age group was 5-6. You really need to have patience, and I believe I always had the patience for small children. I have also took a class called Child development. In that class I learned how small children brains work. And I think having that information definitely helps when it comes to taking care of kids because you have a better understanding.
