Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been a babysitter since I can remember. Many families, many kids & lots of fun. I also have experience being a nanny for a family where I took care of him during the course of the week & also full-time if the parents went out of town and I traveled with them as well.
I’m not looking for that level of commitment at this time in my life however, I love the perspective that children help give you as you experience the world through their eyes.

Each child is unique & has different interests, but they all need stimulation, activity and attention. I enjoy it all. Outdoors, indoors; there is always something to do no matter what the weather presents.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think it would be establishing a trust with the child as well as the parents so that transitions are easy and seamless and not traumatic to anyone involved. Then it would be to be the best caregiver to the child that I can be in order to help them grow and learn.

I taught sign language to my nanny baby & one of the best moments was when he gave me the first sign back!! From that point forward, it was so much easier to “communicate” with him.
