More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a swim coach and a lifeguard for my community pool. I managed a team of about 50-75 children aged 4-17. I have served as a VBS leader, Sunday morning child care provider, and after-school nanny in previous years.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside, going for walks, reading, playing games, doing arts and crafts, and going to interactive museums like the McWane Center with the kiddos I watch.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is providing a safe, fun environment for children to go while their parents work, take care of personal things, or attend events. I think creating an environment that allows for easy and low-stress transitions between caretaker and parent is extremely important, and provides everyone peace of mind when going about their day-to-day.

Jae N. - Seeking Work in Birmingham

Full-Time Child Care Provider Available in Birmingham, AL: Jae N.

Hello,

My name is JaShelle. I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Hence, the reason why I love southern soul food :) In my free time I enjoy making craft projects, reading, practicing calligraphy, walking the trails at my local park, cooking, and trying new restaurants.

My background caring for infants, toddlers, and youth began when I became a volunteer sitter at my church. I transitioned to babysitting for various families throughout my years of completing college. During that time I gained skills and knowledge that have elevated my childcare journey. My love for witnessing children learn and grow encouraged my decision to become a nanny of 3+ years, a newborn care specialist, and birth & postpartum doula. In addition to my professional background in Social Work. Building a great rapport and relationship with your child is my top priority.

I'm kind, patient and nurturing, and I'm excited about the opportunity to work with your family!
Jaylen G. - Seeking Work in Birmingham

Babysitter Available in Birmingham, AL: Jaylen G.

Hi there! My name is Jaylen Glenn and it's a pleasure to meet you! I've worked in after school care for kids and I'm a camp counselor for field trips and summer camp activities. I was a PreK teacher for KinderCare as well. My goal is to bring out the imaginations and innovation of kids. Spreading kindness and giving kids a voice of their own. Was chosen as the Alabama representative to work at Camp Walt Whitman as a cabin counselor and recently just got back from Texas as a naturalist teaching kids about nature and taking them on adventures. I've worked as a babysitter, a tutor, and even a theater teacher as well. My goal is to help kids inhance their imaginations and bring them back to the way things were when I was younger. Building forts, playing pretend, and even writing songs and singing. Bringing smiles without the use of technology.

Babysitter Available in Birmingham, AL: Mary E.

Hi! My name is Mary Payton Everette. I am 19 years old and currently a student at UAB. I do already have a part-time job as a dance teacher and involved in a sorority on campus, so I am mostly looking for occasional jobs as needed. I also only have experience with kids preschool age and up, so I am not able to work with infants or babies under 3. I also have had a background check done before for my job, so while I don’t have one on file here I am able to provide proof of one.

Hope S. - Seeking Work in Birmingham

Babysitter Available in Birmingham, AL: Hope S.

My name is Hope! I’m new to Birmingham but just graduated with my master’s from the University of Alabama. I have extensive experience with kids in a variety of settings - church camp counselor, children’s ministry intern, summer nanny, and youth group. I think kids need the outdoors and space to imagine, and as a nanny, I think playing with kids and encouraging them to enjoy being kids, is my primary role. I love to travel and as a trained anthropologist, I want children (& every person I meet) to learn about the world and different approaches to life when I am with them. Children are the next generation so I hope to not just care with fun and safety, but encourage them to become great people and future leaders.
