A little bit about me

My name is Imelda,I live in Fort Worth, and have over 30 years of teaching assistant/childcare/ nanny experience from newborns - young school age. I have Montessori training for ages 0-3 years old . I use my training while caring for infants /toddlers as well as educating their parents as needed .I have a love of creating small art projects which flows into being creative with my “work “ children . I also take time to visit (with /without the children) the local library to check books out for myself as I am an avid reader and for the children because I feel it’s important for them as well. Building a fun, happy, healthy ,loving environment for the children ,and strong communication with parents is a must for me.I am willing to do light household duties , feed, make ahead meals, all that pertains to the child(ren) Although I prefer to start a new employment with a family of a newborn that may want more in the future, I am not opposed to starting out with a family of a toddler in FW.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a former teachers / school aide at a Catholic school for 5 years as well as lead teacher for an infant class at a Montessori school in Fort Worth for 7 years before venturing into becoming a childcare provider/nanny .

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

All things educational and fun: teaching basic skills/needs that are age appropriate, visits to a museum or library,. Creating arts and crafts Taking walks , spending time at a park.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Getting to be a part of the lives , milestones , and development of children. Seeing them happy about it is a bonus!
