A little bit about me

Hi, I'm Inaru. I'm 47 years old, mom of 3 kids ages (2 boys & 1 girl) 31, 27 and 13 years old and a grandma to a 9 month old precious baby boy! I relocated from New York City to Virginia two years ago which I'm loving very much!! I've never worked under the title of being a Nanny but I've done tons of babysitting throughout my life. I'm currently working at the Newport News Police Department as a Records Technician during the evening hours so I'm looking for part time job that I would enjoy doing and that I'm really good at. After searching and not being happy with what I've been coming across, I thought to myself that being a Nanny will be the perfect job! I know how important it is to have someone around to help out with the little & big things around the house and with our children. Even if it means to have an extra 10 minutes in a hot shower or go through our personal emails. I promise that I can be that extra hand you need and trust. Look forward to meeting you.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 20 years experience working in the NYC School and was recently an Assistant/Acting Director for Kiddie Academy in VA Beach. I've cared for children from ages newborn - high school. I have my own children who are now 31, 26 and 13. It seems I've been around children all my life. :)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have over 20 years experience working in the NYC school system so I love to help kids learn... Meet them where they are at in their learning and continue to grow from there. I enjoy sports, like volleyball, softball, basketball... so I'm always up from some physical activity. Reading and just communicating with our children... they have a lot to say.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is giving the support where it's needed for all parties involved and taking care of the children as if they are my own.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a stepson who is on the spectrum, non verbal. I've learned to communicate with him through certain sign language gestures.

The most important part about being a nanny...

As I shared in my introduction about myself, I've never had the title as Nanny but I've taken care of many children. My favorite moments have always been when the kids I've watched had a great day, creating fortress with blankets, creating something they are proud of through arts and crafts, an awesome day at the park or just some one on one time because they needed to vent about a problem in school. Making a positive connection with children of any age is always a favorite moment of mine.
