More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My first job was at a daycare and thats where my love for childcare began. I was/am a volunteer camp counselor for children with Type 1 Diabetes. In high school and college I would volunteer at lower income schools teaching an after school program called girls on the run, which taught self empowerment and healthy habits to girls ages 7-13.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Crafts, baking, cooking, science experiments, playing dress up, getting out of the house and going to kid friendly activities such as the aquarium!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure not only do the parents feel their kids are safe but making sure the kids feel safe and loved. It's important to be patient and always encourage them to be themselves.

I have am extremely well versed in children with diabetes as I've had it myself since I was two years old.

It's hard to name once specifically, but the best feeling was when the kids started asking for "huggies and kissys" before I left at the end of the day.
