I don't have any job experience with children, unless you count looking over them for a family friend. Although, I have helped many times in the past with children in my family.

I love playing games, reading to them, and doing little activities like fingerpainting or puzzles.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part in my opinion is making sure the child is comfortable. I try to smile whenever I can Infront of them and talk calmly because little kids can sense a lot more than what people tend to give them credit for, including changes in mood and tone in the people around them. I've seen way too many people get visually/verbally annoyed in front a small child and I remember how that made me feel when I was little, so I try my best to stay level headed. When I need to cool down, I take a second then get back to it because the kid doesn't need to see me like that.
My experience with special needs children...
I've taken care of little kids with autism before and generally know how to handle their needs, though each child is different, so I may need more info on the specific child to take care of them the best I can. Like if they have any routines, habits, etc. that I should be aware of.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One that sticks out to me is when, just after a snack, my baby cousin was pretty hyper and started bouncing up and down playfully. I responded by doing the same and saying "Bounce-a-bounce-a-bounce" and he started babbling it back to me and giggling. It was adorable.
