A little bit about me

Hey! My name is Iris and I’m 15 years old (I turn 16 this year). I’ve always loved being around and interacting with younger children. At the age of 6 i started to learn how to take care of a baby and have gained so much experience since then such as knowing how to hold and handle an infant, bottle feeding, changing clothes and diapers, food safety precautions, bath time, bed/nap time, discipline when having the permission to do so, education and learning time, ect. Some of the things I’ve done to gain this experience are being obsessed with baby dolls for around 7 years, being a leader and helper at vacation bible school and summer camp, mission trips, and of course babysitting for friends and family. Every child is different and might have special needs or behavioral issues, I have dealt with both along with having a sister with autism and haven’t had a problem with being patient and putting in a little extra effort because I know every child deserves to be loved and cared for.🩷

The most important part about being a nanny...

During the first bit of summer I was babysitting twins for my aunt and uncle while they were helping out with a wedding. They live pretty far therefore I don't get to see their kids very often but the whole thing was such a fun experience. The twins are only 2 so getting to bond with them for when I see them later on was awesome!
