Hello! My name is Isabelia though I go by Isa. I’m 23 years old and a recent college graduate with a bachelor’s in broadcasting and a goal of becoming a writer and radio show personality. I’ve been working with kids since schools started opening up after COVID. I’m a creative person with a lot of positive energy just trying to get by while I work toward my goals.

I have a passion for the arts, literature and learning. Combined with my experience and love of working with kids, that’s what drew me to start working as a substitute teacher after receiving my bachelors. I’ve worked as a Yard Duty in elementary schools, Sub para educator and substitute teacher working with 2nd graders all the way to 12th graders.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Children are the most expressive and creative people on the planet! And frankly, I’m a child at heart. I enjoy doing any activities! From playing pirates in the park to watching movies to tea parties to arts and crafts to debating which superhero is the best.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is the kids. Creating a space and relationship where the children feel safe, happy and comfortable is the most important part of any job involving children. I want to be able to create positive memories and experiences that’ll last them a life time.

My experience with special needs children...

As a sub paraeducator, I’ve mainly worked with kids who have ADD, ADHD and Down syndrome. Usually the parent leaves a guide of their child’s needs and I do my best to fulfill those needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

A 1st grader at my previous school used to ask me to go on mystery adventures with me. One time, he found a hole in a tree and claimed fairies lived in the tree. So he and I spoke to the tree for about 5 minutes before he looked at me and said, “Or maybe it’s just a hole in a tree.”
I laughed so hard and then he said “Wait a minute! You’re loud! You might be scaring them away!”
It’s a silly memory but one of my favorite ones haha!
