More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I nannied for a family in my neighborhood for two months in the summer of 2020, while the mother was a physician and the father worked remotely from home. Because of the pandemic, the children's camp was cancelled. nWe had no plans everyday, but we did make do! All day, every day, we would play outside in the backyard on the family's swing set, making up games as we went along. We also went for a ton of walks and fed the ducks in the ponds nearby. It was a relaxing, fun, child-led summer!

I love painting, arts-and-crafts, sprinkler games, dress-up, going on walks, beach time, games, and anything the child wants to do!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Childhood is so short. Each person deserves memories of being with someone who cares about them, cares for their safety, and wants them to have fun. I am excited for the opportunity to help nurture a child as he or she learns and grows, even if for a short period of time.
My experience with special needs children...
I have many friends who have younger siblings with special needs, and I used to be a buddy and play sports with them at camps during the summer growing up. I also spent a week living in L'arche, a community for adults with special needs, and I absolutely loved it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One day, while I was nannying for my first family, the children didn't want to eat their lunch. I turned it into a game, where I would pick three foods (oreo, apple, sandwich) and have her take a bite, and try to guess what the food was. We turned it into a game show. Once big sister did it, little brother ate all his lunch too! So fun :)
