A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Ivanna Mendoza! I just moved to St Petersburg after living in Argentina. I grew up in Utah and am fluent in both English and Spanish. I have been working with children since I was 15 years old (I am now 26) as a teacher's assistant in a preschool and as a babysitter/nanny as well.
I love working with children because they never seize to amaze me and one day is never exactly the same as the other!
I love to incorporate educational playtime as much as possible with young kids and go out of my way to create ways for the children I watch to express their creativity and expand their minds, encouraging good old fashion play time!
I have worked with families who prefer little to no screentime and am perfectly comfortable organizing other activities to respect the parents wishes.
I know that putting your trust in someone else for your child's care can be stressful so I always try to be as open and communicative as possible to make sure both parties are comfortable and happy.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love implementing educational playtime which varies depending on age groups. Ideally, there's a mix of arts and crafts, creative play (make believe), exercise (outside play, going to a park, playing jump rope, tag, etc) and cognitive play (puzzles or building/taking apart).

The most important part about being a nanny...

Creating a good relationship with both the children and the parents. Have a constant line of communication and ensure the parents are always informed on what is going on in their children's day as well as creating trust to guarantee their peace of mind while they're away.
