A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Jackie. I am 39 years old and have been living in Denver for 10 years. At this time, I am seeking a consistent/recurring part-time role supporting a family with one infant to toddler, up to four days a week (excluding Mondays).

In my current part time role, I have been building experience as a nanny for an infant girl, both while parents work from home and solo. I love collaborating as a team and working together to make home life full of joy!

I am first aid and cpr certified, and have my masters in social work. While I'm new to the field of nannying, I have decades of experience and education about child development, emotional regulation and coping strategies, and ways to support family systems as a whole. I also have a background in American Sign Language, art and musical theater, which means -- lots of colorful, creative activities, toys and songs!

My goal is to be a warm, trusted and supportive adult presence adding to your family. Thanks for reading!

Kelsey
"Jacqueline has been nannying and babysitting my 11-month old for about 6 months. She is wonderful care giver. She brings a crate of toys and activities every time that my daughter just loves. Jacqueline makes sure all of my daughter's needs are met with feeding, diaper changes, naps she is very well taken care of. Jacqueline is also very reliable. She is always on time and is very good about communicating before hand and during her babysitting shifts. I'm so happy to have Jacqueline as a regular babysitter and nanny. My daughter feels super comfortable with her and has a wonderful time with her. I have a lot of trust and confidence when I leave my daughter with Jacqueline."

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Past experience with children includes:

[phone number hidden]: nannying for one family with infant girl (15 months) and one family with 3.5 year old girl and 16 month old boy
2025: nannying for infant girl, 8 months - 11 months
2013 to 2016: counseling for college students, 18 - mid-20's
2008: after school elementary art teacher, kinder to 6th grade

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

- Singing, dancing and making music
- Reading books and telling stories
- Sensory play like learning new foods, feeling different textures and exploring the environment
- Playing with custom toys I craft out of yarn and felt (puppets, blocks, drums)

The most important part about being a nanny...

Communication and trust: between me and the parents, me and the child, and all of us as a team together.

I use all my skills to build a foundation of safe, unconditional positive regard for your infant, your family and your parenting journey. It is a daily pleasure learning more about your babe's individual personalities and preferences, and helping them process and learn new ways to express themselves and explore their worlds. Since they are years away from being able to communicate directly with words themselves, I love being part of the trusted welcoming crew that helps them out at this crucial stage!

Some of my favorite tomes that have shaped my caregiving approach:
- The Happiest Baby on the Block (Karp)
- The Happiest Toddler on the Block (Karp)
- How To Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk (Faber and Mazlish)
- Punishment-Free Parenting (Fogel)

My experience with special needs children...

While I have not directly cared for special needs children, I have indirectly supported a few families of special needs kids, and college students with disabilities, through my past experience in personnel management and social work.

I have gleaned that the most important thing for supporting special needs children and their families is absolute trust, transparency and communication. I believe every family develops its own processes and systems; my goal is to support your family in however that vision looks for you.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I first started nannying with an infant girl, she learned incredibly quickly that we always start with THE CRATE!

I filled a sturdy storage crate with age-appropriate toys and books. It's a treat watching Baby girl pull herself up using the sides, and seek out the most exciting toys to pull out...over and over and over! Now she is growing and moving on to emptying out the crate for hide and seek, elevator rides and more.

It didn't take long for her to recognize the crate coming up to her front door! Starting each session with her big grin and happy waving is a treat for both of us, and one of my favorite nanny moments every time!

Hello! My name's Paige, I'm nineteen years old and currently live in the Boston area.
I like babysitting because I've always gotten along with kids and can easily empathize with their feelings and needs, I genuinely enjoy building these meaningful relationships and love to spend time seeing the world through their eyes!
