I worked at a church in Cuero taking care of usually the 2 year olds but occasionally I was in the infant room and 4-6 year old room. I would do projects with the kids and help them learn the Bible on a level they could understand.

My experience with special needs children...
I worked with a kid who was born deaf, he had hearing aids but he couldn’t speak as well as the other kids his age so I worked through that. I also had another kid who didn’t have any special needs but his parents had taught him sign language so I know basic things like “restroom”, “poo”, “pee”, “thank you”, “mom”, etc.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When one of the kids was starting to learn how to go to the restroom on their own and she peed all over the floor by accident. She was embarrassed about it but I started laughing which made her laugh and she was a really quiet kid but after that she would always talk to me.
