The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me, is being able to have an impact in shaping young minds. It fills me with a sense of satisfaction that I can share my knowledge and help others in possible times of need. I’ve known from a young age that I had a passion for working with others. From working in church nurseries to eventually becoming a daycare teacher and in-home caregiver. These jobs have instilled a sense of community within me. And helped to give me purpose when I felt like I had none. Childcare is everything to me and I can’t wait to show future family my willingness to exceeded and excel all expectations
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with special needs before, and have an extensive background working with all different types of disabilities. From being a special-needs teacher to participating in a special needs geared courses. I am currently studying to become an RBT and help others with their speech therapy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was with a family. I worked with a while back. They had a young son around the age of two years old and we would complete various craft activities throughout the day. One day, we built a cardboard box car and painted it blue with yellow Styrofoam cup headlights. And it was just such a joy to watch him be self-sufficient, but also reach out whenever he needed help. I enjoy being able to see the progression with the child. It brings a sense of satisfaction to see how the simplest of activities can be a stepping stone forward
