The most important part to me about being a nanny is to fully engage with children. Children are smarter than they seem and they are very attentive to everything you do with them/ how you respond to things they say.

I have a bit of experience with special needs children as I worked in an afterschool program which was very inclusive, although I did not directly work with them as they had their own proper caregivers.

I have been with my husband for 26 years and I am mother of two. One of my children is 19, and a sophomore in college in NY. The other is 16, and a junior in high school here in Miami. I’m a Miami native, graduate of FSU and retired teacher of ten years. In that time I taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, first and second grades. To this day I remain friends with many of the families whose children I taught. I even taught aftercare as a teenager, so I’ve been caring for children for 25 plus years. I can perform first aid and CPR, though my certifications have expired due to no longer being in the classroom. I am open to recertification at the families request. I am excited to meet families in my area that I can help. Open to part time and full time opportunities if the family is the right fit.
