More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I volunteer every Sunday at my church in the nursery where I help care for children ages 0-9. I have done that for around 7 years. I also have worked on and off as a baby sitter since the age of 15 for various families. I also have 3 younger siblings that I’ve helped with as well.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to go to parks and swing especially. I love just about every sport. I am super competitive, so I live when the kids actually like to play as well. I enjoy board games and watching movies. I am constantly listening to music, so being around children who love it too is a plus.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part is actually forming a relationship with the children. Showing them you can be a dependable and stable person in their lives is crucial to forming a bond. I tend to unintentionally form relationships with children, and the best friendships stem from there. Showing up is basically the epitome of being a nanny.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a sibling with special needs, and I have been around her since I was 7. I do not discriminate, especially to a child or anybody having exceptionalities. I treat my sister just as I would any other child and learn her specific interests and adapt my behavior to the situation. I also work at a nursery where some children have special needs, and I tend to gravitate towards them and vice versa.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was once watching two little boys and we started having singing contests in the house to different songs. We also had impromptu racing sessions around the house with toy cars, and I pretended to be the announcer at a professional monster truck rally.
