I am only 19 years old, but I have had childcare experience, as well as studied childcare work, teaching, and child development since I was 14 years old. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Education- I have been training and learning childhood development, teaching, and childhood careers since I was 14, taking it to college.

Preschool- During high school, I set up lessons and decorations for a preschool classroom. I taught here five days a week for two hours, following the program provided at my school.

Childcare centers- I work seasonally at a childcare center, as well as a Montessori. Here, I cared for infants and children up to age 6.

Babysitting- I have babysat since I was 13. I have helped multiple families, and continue to take babysitting jobs.

Observation- I have also spent a semester of college student teaching and observing 2nd and 3rd grades at my local elementary schools. Here, I experienced teaching and took notes on different teaching skills and techniques

I have experience in caring for children with physical disability such as Cerebral Palsy and deafness. I have taught and cared for children with ADHD, ASD (autism), and OCD.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Anything creative! I love doing any art with children like painting, drawing, music, or creative play! I also love reading to children as well as being active with them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Connection. I think setting up a good emotional and mental connection is very important for a child’s trust. I think creating good memories and making a child feel safe can have a huge impact on their development. This can lead to those good times and memories that stick with you for a lifetime.
