Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy playing outside and inside. I like being there for them and for them to see me as a friend that cares for them. I enjoy doing all like playing hide-and-go-seek, soccer, any outside games, coloring, reading, arts and craft.
The most important part about being a nanny...
For me, being a nanny means making sure the kids are safe, happy, and well-cared for. Besides safety and happiness, I think nannie’s should help kids learn and grow and be a positive role model.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience has been very eye opening and has taught me how to read children when they don’t say anything. Every child that I have worked with is different so I have learned how to be very patient and adapt to each child’s needs. I have learned how to deal with intense meltdowns, as in what works and what doesn’t, and help them work through it.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment so far has been when I was watching a 3 year old girl with autism. She is nonverbal and knows little sign language. We were inside her room playing with stickers and suddenly she signs “i love you” with the biggest smile and puts a sticker on my cheek. I remember being so happy because I adore her so much.
