I’ve worked at 2 daycares and also an elementary school after program.
I’ve volunteered at Methodist hospital at the children’s clinic on the 3rd floor in Park Slope, NY. There I would read with the children and do arts and crafts. I’ve also done the same for the emergency room pediatric side.
I’ve helped my mom run her daycare and help with the foster children she had until their parents received custody back. I was responsible for helping with their homework and picking them up from school. My mom last foster child was a 3 weeks old baby boy. I instantly fell in love with him. My mom had custody’s of him till he was 5. His mom had finally completed all her court mandates. Ezekiel was his name and I would travel with him to the parks. Read books to and with him. Play with him, feed him. My mom got sick in the beginning of January 2020 and I became a full parent to Zeke. I enjoy children and watching them grow.

The most important part about being a nanny...
This Easter I snuck and got everything to make my baskets from scratch. So I had 3 different children at the time. One was located in Pennsylvania. I would commute for the weekends. Either way she is 10 years old now. I have been watching her since she was 5 months. They use to live in a Brooklyn but moved when she turnt 3 years old. So back to the story. I had all the items in the bag to do her basket before I left because I knew I wouldn’t see her for Easter but wanted her mom to hide it for me until then. Do you know she kept trying to sneak downstairs to be nosy and see what I was doing. Fast forward to Easter her mom called me and was like do you know Soleil ask me for her basket. She said “I’m not a baby. I put my phone and recorded y’all. Where is my basket ?” I really chuckle when I think about it today. Kids grow so fast and are so smart.
