More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My love for working with children started 20 years ago at KinderCare Learning Center. While employed there I was the caregiver for infants to Kindergartners. I've worked in public schools for the past 13 years. It's truly such a fun experience seeing how much students can learn, and a privilege to be a part of this. I have also worked as a BT (Behavioral Technician) with one family for four years. Their child was on the spectrum. I helped with daily tasks, such as toileting, eating, and helping reduce maladaptive behaviors.

Mostly I enjoy arts and crafts, singing songs and reading to children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny would be communication with the parents and building a rapport with the children as well as the whole family. Both parties need to feel safe and that you are on the same page to benefit the child.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve had the pleasure of working with children on the spectrum for the past seven years now. I started in an elementary school as a professional. I also have done some in home cases. My role in the home was a behavior therapist, this gave me a chance to work close with the BCBA to improve behaviors. I currently work with children in a social skills class. That brings me joy.
