I am a mother of two boys. Identical twins! They are 39 years of age now, both college educated with MBA's (no student loan debt). I chose to have them start their education (18 months old) in Montessori school. I believe in letting a person be creative and open minded to learning. They are happy, well adjusted, outgoing and grateful people. I have always babysat for my friends, family and co-workers throughout the years. Years ago I was a nanny to a 7 month (little girl) old and a 3 year old (little boy). I wish I could turn back time to when my boys were babies/toddlers/elementary age/middle school age/high school age. The time just went so fast! Now they have been grown and have left the nest for some time now! I love children! Children bring light and joy to my life. I am a very good teacher. I enjoy sharing information with others and feel accomplished and happy when I have taught someone something new.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Anything! Children always add happiness. Example #1: We used to have a Vietnamese miniature pot belly pig as a pet. My boys played softball. We took "Wilbur" to their practices and games and my "nickname" was pig lady. LOL! Example #2: I became a widow when my boys were 7 years old. This brought on many added responsibilities for me. I chose to bring the boys along wherever I went. I enjoyed their company and how refreshing they could make life with others around. 3: I always wanted to be a teacher or nurse (or actress) when young. I chose to marry young and have a family young. Whether it be teaching cookery skills, spelling a word, structuring a sentence (English is my strong point), putting a strong loving arm around my sons back while learning to sit, giggling and laughing (there is nothing better than listening to a baby laugh).

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny to me? LOVE and caring. EVERYONE makes mistakes. Guidance with love and rules through life's early obstacles makes it easier to comprehend adulthood with success. Oh...and teach education is important.
My experience with special needs children...
I have no experience with taking care of a special needs child. Although...I am not afraid to learn. I think every person is special and would go to the extra-extra effort to learn how to care for a special needs child. I am a very compassionate person.
