A little bit about me

I'm a college senior with seven years of experience in childcare, camp, and classroom settings. I would be delighted to support a family in the Pioneer Valley with regular or occasional childcare this summer.

I've been privileged to work with children and their families in a variety of settings, from one-on-one toddler care, to Waldorf agricultural summer camp, to reading support classes for middle schoolers with dyslexia. I've learned enormously from every child I've cared for, aided, or taught. Among the most valuable of these lessons have been how to intuit needs communicated non-verbally, how to guide emotional regulation, how to facilitate quick and restorative conflict resolution, and how to be fully present and effective in high-pressure circumstances.

These lessons ground my childcare philosophy: Good childcare is individualized, encourages independence, and respects the whole child.

Please reach out if this sounds like a good fit! References available upon request.

Babysitter Available in Amherst, MA: Stacey R.

Hello! I am a mom of 3 kiddos: ages 16, 20, 23 and I owned and operated a successful home daycare for 12 years. After I closed my daycare I had a role at a nonprofit for 11 years and was the People & Culture Operations Manager. I was recently laid off due to a reduction in workforce and am now trying to figure out what I would like to do next. Over the years in daycare I cared for over 45 children while raising my own. I have many references that I can provide. I also am willing to get CPR and First Aid certified again. I would love to support a family in the morning hours from 7:45 am to Noon and have possible afternoon hours available as well. I do have my youngest that needs transportation to and from school and sport activities that I need to have flexibility on. If you are interested in learning more about my background, I would love to hear from you! Warmly, Stacey
