Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My favorite activities with children are walking, biking, swimming, camping, hiking, going to parks, visiting botanical gardens, watching wildlife, learning about nature, seeing the sun rise, or watching the sunset. I also love playing games and watching the children use their imagination through story telling or by reading books. I love encouraging a child's creative side through arts and crafts, cooking, sewing, going to a children's museum, playing instruments, or just listening to songs and trying to sing along. Traveling with children and their families is also a passion of mine. It’s fascinating and beautiful to watch children experience and learn about different places, people, languages, and cultures, while tasting different foods, listening to new music, and experiencing different customs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is the blessing of being able to make a positive difference in a family's life.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience helping at Disney Runs with the Special Olympics, reading for the blind with The Institute for the Blind, tutoring special needs children, and volunteering in Special Education classes at school.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was on a very hot summer day when the children and I decided to have a water balloon fight. Everyone had such a wonderful time! There was so much laughter and cooperation amongst the teams that the children created. We spent hours playing. The lesson that day was cooperation and respect. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.
My second favorite memory was on the day I helped the children with their homework and then we made homemade pizzas. The house was filled with laughter because the dough turned out to be very sticky and the pizzas were all lopsided at the end. Fortunately, they were delicious and the children learned how fun cooking can be. The theme turned out to be…If you don’t get something right the first time, don’t give up. Keep trying! You will get a little better every time.

Babysitter Available in Orlando, FL: Giselle S.
Hi! I’m Giselle, a university student currently studying at UCF. I come from a very multicultural background and have lived in several countries, which has made me adaptable and comfortable with families from different cultures. I have around 5 years of experience nannying during the summers, caring for children and spending time with them at the beach. I’m responsible, patient, energetic, and enjoy creating fun experiences while making sure children feel safe and cared for. I can also help with homework and schoolwork.
I speak five languages: Italian, Spanish, English, French, and Russian. I believe exposing children to different languages at home is a wonderful gift. I grew up speaking Italian with my dad and Russian with my mom, which is how I naturally became multilingual. Families can let me know which language they would like me to speak with their children, and I’d be happy to incorporate it naturally into our time together.
