My name is Janis. I'm 22 years old and currently studying to become an elementary teacher at the University of Northern Colorado. During the school year, I work as a substitute teacher, which has given me valuable experience with children of various ages and needs. I’ve always had a passion for working with kids from babysitting in high school to spending a year as an Au Pair in Spain. I also have two young nephews under the age of three, and I've had the privilege of living with them and helping care for them regularly. These day-to-day experiences with infants and toddlers have deepened my understanding of early childhood development and strengthened my caregiving skills. I'm fluent in German, love to travel, and am especially passionate about teaching and learning from different cultures.
