More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was an assistant teacher at my local YWCA during college, working in the toddler classrooms. I also helped my mother run her before and after school center from the age of 15. I have also babysat for several families on care.com.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going to the park, doing arts and crafts, playing on Nintendo Wii games, taking field trips to museums/the zoo/aquariums.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is being fully present. Aside from providing attentive care, it’s important for nannies to remember that they are living a new experience - not an old one. To avoid feeling triggered by certain behaviors and acting on those memories, a good nanny must stay present to give the children the treatment, knowledge, and experience that they deserve

My experience with special needs children...

While working at the YWCA, I oversaw groups of special needs children while their parents attended a support group. I’ve been trained on the importance and greater extent of patience and understanding required while working with special needs children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I used to babysit 3 school age kiddos during covid, and we always had a blast. When I returned to my job during a college break, the kiddos ran to my car before I could get out, smiling and yelling my name. I was so fulfilled ! I’m glad I can bring children as much joy as they bring me :)
