Hi! I’m Jason, oldest of four siblings (currently 13, 15, and 19). I just turned 20 in July and I want to save up enough money to be able to go back to college. I have grown up taking care of my younger siblings, as it’s part of the oldest child’s responsibility, and I loved it! We would play board games, cards, hide and seek, video games, or sometimes just talk. Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I travelled to my middle school when I was in high school, and gave a presentation on why they should stay away from vaping. (It was a big problem in my hometown, and my club wanted to raise awareness)

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Hide and seek, drawing, painting, baking, and teaching are absolutely my favorite things to do with kids. And they love it too!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids can feel 100% comfortable with coming to me about anything they need. Physically, like a band aid or medicine, or even just being able to talk to me about anything.

My experience with special needs children...

Caretaker for special Olympics in high school. I travelled to another high school on a bus with Steven, and a couple other teams, and I was his partner for the day and we competed together. We were friends throughout cub scouts and high school. Although he had autism, that didn’t stop him and i from being able to communicate, and hang out.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Definitely baking! My little sister, now 13, loves it and we still do it today!
