Copperview Recreation Center | Beginning of June 2023 to the end of July 2023
-Worked with upwards of twenty kids at a time that all came from different backgrounds with various disabilities.
-Gained real life experience as we took kids on field trips, those including: the Aquarium, Wheeler Farm, and the Clark Planetarium while also taking the kids on an occasional hike.
-Learned how to think on my feet in sight of an emergency in which kids were sometimes hurt or had the possibility of being hurt.
-Truly fell in love with this job.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important qualities a nanny needs is thoughtfulness and how that applies to their care. Saving the joke on the wrapper of a Laffy Taffy can mean so much to a kid just as making their favorite meal on a rough day can help them sleep just a little easier that night.

My experience with special needs children...

This past summer I worked full time as a summer camp councilor for disabled kids. Over the course of 8 week, I worked with kids with Down syndrome, schizophrenia, autism, fetal alcohol syndrome, sensory and processing disorders (including non-verbal kids), and hard-of-hearing and Deaf kids.
