More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During my time at a summer camp, I had the privilege of caring for up to 8 children each week, from Sunday to Friday. This role involved not only the daily supervision of up to 10 kids aged 5 to 17, but also the opportunity to build nurturing and supportive relationships with them. I made it my priority to be attentive to their needs, ensuring that each child received three nourishing meals a day, along with snacks in between and a restful nap after lunch.

My responsibilities also included assisting with personal care and guidance as needed, all while keeping a watchful eye on their safety and well-being. I engaged them in a variety of camp activities that brought joy and excitement, including target sports, rock climbing, crafts, and aquatic adventures. Each moment spent with the campers was a chance to contribute to their growth and happiness, which I cherished deeply.

I enjoy playing board games, video games, coloring, and pretend play. I also like finding outdoor activities to reduce screen time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a child caretaker, in my view, is ensuring that the child feels completely at ease and secure in their environment. This means creating a warm and inviting space where they can express themselves freely, both physically and emotionally. It’s about being attentive to their needs, not only providing the essentials but also fostering a sense of comfort through gentle interactions, playful engagement, and reassurance, allowing them to thrive and develop with confidence.

My experience with special needs children...

One specific group of special needs children that I have had the privilege to care for includes those with autism. These children often exhibit a unique combination of strengths and challenges that require a tailored approach to support their development. Their diverse ways of communicating, processing information, and interacting with the world around them make each moment of care a valuable opportunity for connection and growth. Through patience and understanding, I’ve been able to foster an environment that nurtures their individual needs and encourages their unique potential.
