More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a volunteer at a local church for youth children where i would have them under my care with other colleagues while their parents where in church . My responsibilities were to watch ange ranges 2-6. I would plan out their schedules, take them out to play , change their diapers when needed, feed them when needed, and play with them . I’m also the oldest sibling so i have always cared and nurtured my 2 younger siblings .Its natural for me now at this point to be around younger kids and know what to do in certain circumstances.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking children outside to play because it allows them to explore nature, get fresh air, and engage in physical activity, which is vital for their development. Whether it's a trip to the park, a nature walk, or simply playing games in the backyard, outdoor play encourages creativity, teamwork, and sensory stimulation. Additionally, teaching children new things is incredibly rewarding. Whether it's introducing them to a new hobby, teaching them their abc’s, colors numbers, witnessing their curiosity and excitement as they learn and grow is truly fulfilling.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being able to build a strong and nurturing relationship with the children under my care. This involves understanding their individual needs, interests, and personalities, providing emotional support, setting boundaries, and fostering a safe and enriching environment for their growth and development. Communication with both the children and their parents is key to ensuring a harmonious and effective caregiving experience.

I am the oldest of three sisters and I have many cousins so I have my fair share of dealing with all ages, dealing with autistic kids and so on and so forth! I'm also a huge animal lover, and so that wouldn't be a problem if pets were involved as well.

My name is Melinda I have over 20 years of experience, went to medical school worked in pediatrics, raised my children, my sisters children, worked as a nanny for the chief of police in Orange County Ca, he had twins and several other families. I was called a over protective mother, usually by someone with no kids, you never can be to careful, if they are quiet they are up to something! I know how it feels to trust a person with your life it's hard, so I love them like their my own, and I have more patience then the average person I don't get frustrated with any child, because they are learning.
