The most important part of being a nanny is building a safe, trusting, and loving relationship with the children and the family. It’s about being more than just a caregiver—you become a consistent, supportive presence in a child’s life during some of their most important developmental years. Children thrive when they feel secure and seen, and as a nanny, I strive to create an environment where they can grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually. At the same time, it’s just as important to support the parents—to communicate openly, respect their values, and work as a team. While I don’t have direct experience working with children with special needs, I am absolutely open and willing to learn. The most important part about being a nanny...

With a previous family, I took the kids to the biggest bounce house in the world. There were bubbles and music and so much bouncing. Everyone was so exhausted afterwards. It was too hot to eat outside, so we made a little picnic in the van. I got blankets and even put all the food in a picnic bag. It was so much fun!
