More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
growing up in foster care, where I was often involved in helping care for younger children in the home. In addition, my adoptive mother has children ranging in age from 21 to 3 years old, and I have consistently assisted with childcare across different developmental stages. This includes helping with daily routines, supervision, playtime, and providing a safe, supportive environment. These experiences have helped me develop strong patience, adaptability, and a deep understanding of children’s needs at various ages.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
• Reading books together and storytelling
• Arts & crafts (coloring, painting, simple DIY projects)
• Educational games and puzzles
• Sensory play (blocks, sorting toys, music & movement)
• Helping with age-appropriate learning (letters, numbers, fine motor skills)
• Quiet time activities like drawing or independent play

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel loved and understood. It’s about being patient, reliable, and attentive to their needs whether it’s helping with daily routines, encouraging learning and play, or simply being someone they can trust. A good nanny also communicates openly with parents and adapts to each child’s personality and developmental stage to help them thrive.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children on the autism spectrum. My nephew and my sister are both autistic, so I’ve been closely involved in supporting their daily routines, communication needs, sensory sensitivities, and emotional regulation.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my most memorable moments was with my 3-year-old sister. She once insisted on being the “boss” during playtime and gave me very serious instructions on how to sit, talk, and even how to play with her toys. If I didn’t do it exactly right, she’d stop and say, “No, you’re not listening.” It was funny and adorable, and it reminded me how important it is to let kids feel heard, confident, and in control in their own little world.
