More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been an RN for 27 years and also a nanny for the last 15. I have extensive newborn experience, including night nanny experience with single infants and multiples. The last family I was with had 3 boys and I was with them for 15 years, beginning from the time they were 1, 3, and 5. I taught them to swim, ride bikes, took them on vacations, got them through high school, and survived driving when they got their permits. That was interesting to say the least! 😀

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to be outside, swimming, parks, horseback riding, picnics, art and crafts, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Letting parents go to work knowing that their child/ren are in good hands. I have children of my own so I know how special and important children are to every family.

My experience with special needs children...

I was a nanny to a family for 13 years. They had e boys and the oldest had aspergers. He had very violent meltdowns. It got to the point where he had to come live with me and I have very few problems with him at that point. I helped him with his OT and PT as well as anger management.
