A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Jemma, I’m 24 years old, and I’m currently looking for a full-time summer nanny position. I recently graduated from Northern Illinois University in December and now work as a teacher at a Montessori school.

I’ve been nannying since high school and continued all throughout college, working with children from newborns to 14 years old. I’ve also been a full-time summer nanny for the past six summers, which has given me a lot of hands-on experience.

I have a reliable car and am very comfortable driving children to activities. In past summer positions, we’ve gone on daily outings like playgrounds, trampoline parks, picnics, Rock Cut, and story time at the library.

I love planning crafts, creative activities, reading together, and baking fun treats. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where kids can learn, grow, and feel supported.

I am currently a teacher at a montessori school in the 3-5 year old classroom. My class has 18 students, which has definitely taught me how to care for multiples!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I absolutely love planning fun things to do while nannying/babysitting! Specifically, crafts and baking! I also enjoy going bringing the kiddo’s I babysit to the park. It is so fun seeing them interact with other children! After years of nannying, I am very set on the fact that leaving the house is a must! For both the kids and me! It keeps everyone sane and entertained. Sometimes we go for target runs, the trampoline park, the movies, playgrounds indoor and outdoor, the library and lastly a fan favorite, getting ice cream!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is having a good relationship with the families I care for. I love bonding with the parents and telling each other about all the sweet moments we whiteness while the other isn’t there!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have many favorite moments with all the kids I have watched over the years. Yet, what comes to mind is watching them learn! Learning to talk or just learning how to ride a bike. It will always bring me joy!
