I have also cared for children in a classroom setting at a non-profit Private school. I was able to teach from kindergarten all the way to fifth grade.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I absolutely love being able to Interact and teach children many new things. Such as reading and writing skills are a big deal to me. I like using fun incentives to get the child to understand what we are working towards. I enjoy doing fun science experiments if the children are older. With my little ones I love to be able to help them learn colors, shapes, numbers, patterns, and much more. Being able to have fun activities such as sensory tables with different types of items helps develop fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would have to say the most important part of being a nanny is learning that child and forming a bond with them. When you work with kids it's so much more than just what is at the surface. Having a child to grow with and watch them conquer milestones is a huge enjoyment. By being a nanny it gives you a chance to form those connections deeply and one on one so that the child can thrive and the family can feel comfort in knowing that their child is with someone who actually cares and has the best interest for the child.
