Being a nanny to me means helping children grow into well adjusted people with work on patience and emotions. We will encourage independence and learning through talking things through and giving kid’s opportunities to fail and learn.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children who are tongue and/or lip tied and who have some behavioral issues. At the museum we worked closely with children on the spectrum and not only their socialization but allowing them to focus on something they enjoy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The last family I was a nanny for was having a second child and I was able to help bake for their gender reveal with their older daughter. It was such a joy for everyone involved.
