The most important part about being a nanny...
One thing I always took into consideration was how difficult it is for parents to leave their kids in someone elses care. Whether it was at a daycare, private care, or with a nanny. With that being said I always wanted to make sure that during the time children were under my care they will be safe and would have a blast. So much so, by the time they were in their parents arms, time flew for both parents and the kids.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I would meditate with one of the kids that was under my care. We would typically do this after his nap-time. We would put a calming song on the youtube for 5 minutes and go about our day. One time, his mother came home early and took over for the rest of the day. When she turned on Youtube the song we would use to mediate started playing. Her son rushed on the living room and sat down and started meditating right there and then. It was the first time his mother had seen that. She called me laughing let me know what happened. It was beautiful to know that he carried on what I was showing him while we were together.
