Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Currently, I am a preschool teacher in Overland Park on MWF mornings and a nanny for a family in Leawood on W/Th afternoons. I regularly babysit as needed for 4 other families in Leawood, OP, and Olathe. I have also babysat for 7 other families in those cities, and have been a nanny for 2 other families in Leawood.
This has all just been in the past year!
In Chicago and the suburbs, I have been a nanny and babysitter for dozens of families, 1st grade teacher, and 4th grade assistant teacher. My degree is in Early Childhood Education, and I have taken 2 semesters of graduate level classes for clinical mental health counseling. My younger brother is autistic, and I grew up helping my parents care for him (I'm 12 years older than him), which lead me to care for many other children with special needs. I'm an open book-- so I will share anything about myself you'd like to know!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Literally anything and everything! You name it- I've done it! The ONE and only thing I prefer not to do is take a child to a swim lesson where I need to be in the water. Just being honest. Otherwise, I'm super adventurous and enjoy anything active and going to new places.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I always try to be an extension of the parent. Nobody knows or loves your children more than you, so I always hope the parents and children feel like they are receiving close to the same love and care. You feeling comfortable and happy with your children in my care to where everyone in the home is looking forward to the next day I'm there is my goal!
