More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve cared for children in many settings over the years, including running my own in-home daycare and working one-on-one with at-risk youth in a therapeutic role for seven years. I’ve supported families with everything from daily routines to emotional regulation, and I’m comfortable stepping into a home and helping things feel calm and organized. My experience spans infants through teens, including supporting families through high-stress situations. Currently, I nanny part-time for a child with autism.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love following a child’s lead while also bringing gentle structure to the day. I enjoy reading together, imaginative play, simple crafts, being outside, and just slowing down enough to really connect. With younger children, I focus a lot on rhythm and calm transitions. With older kids, I enjoy conversation, creativity, and helping them feel capable and confident.

The most important thing about being a nanny is that a child feels safe…and truly is safe.

I have experience working with children who need extra emotional and behavioral support, including my time as a therapeutic worker with at-risk youth. I’m patient, observant, and attuned to what a child may be communicating beneath the surface. I approach each child as an individual and work to create a sense of safety, consistency, and trust.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite parts of caring for children is watching them settle into a sense of safety. There’s a moment when a child realizes they’re truly supported, and you can feel it. They soften, they trust, and they begin to just be. Those quiet moments mean everything to me. The big breakthroughs are incredible: like when my current little 2-year-old (who was previously nonverbal) began speaking and has now put two together! So proud of him!
