A little bit about me

A little about me. I have a BS degree in Family and Child Development from Auburn University (1990) and post baccalaureate in Elementary Education (2018). My experience extends from babysitting, to nannying in college, to working in a children's home after college. I have 8 children of my own, 34 years old down to 15 years old… I am divorced, and my two youngest are with me part-time.
I taught 3rd grade, owned and operated Huntsville Housecleaning for two years. I was a nanny for 2 precious kids. We spent a lot of time at M Russell playground, taking nature walks, swimming at the YMCA and pool in Nature's Cove. I am 57, very active and love children. I am CPR certified. Currently, I work as a medical assistant at a Family Practitioner’s office. As the doctor gets closer to retirement, he is cutting back in the office, so I am looking for work on Thursdays or in the evenings. Thank you for your time.

The most important part of being a nanny is connecting with the child. Once that connection is made… The job is enjoyable and rewarding. Being able to assist the parents, so that they can be fully attentive to their children when they are with them. I love making their life easier so that they can have quality time with their children.
