Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered in a Daycare for at least a week, and helped maintain the place in order while watching out for the kids who were playing. I can multi task when it comes to doing a simple task like organizing, and watching out for the kids.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy painting, drawing, dancing or singing with them. I am a very creative person, I love to draw and all the other things, I as well paint and etc with the kids so that we both can have fun, I as well enjoy to play, either indoor or outdoor.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To think of how the kid feels, to as I said be someone they loved to be with. Like sister or a friend, someone they cam talk to and play with, not just an employee.
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with two kids with Autism, one was a 3 year old girl and the other one was a 7 year old boy. I try my best to keep them either occupied or entrained by a game or something which they enjoy, when communication doesn’t work, I have learned that a distraction does. Making them feel safe, loved and cared for is the best way of them trusting you and being more understanding when you tell them to not do or do something. Even thought it might be a struggle to keep them in one place, I try to understand still to this day and be more patient and loving to them just as any other kid that I have work with.
