More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered as a tutor for about three years at an elementary school where I taught the children about math, science, and reading. I had attended the school when I was a child myself so being able to be a part of why the children love that same school was amazing for me! I had also worked as a Registered Behavior Technician recently for about 1 year. I applied ABA therapy to any child with autism to help them improve their communication, motor skills, and behavioral disorders. Lastly, I am currently working at Brian Balance where I help children with disorders such as ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, learning disabilities, etc. I have worked with many personalities so I ensure you that I will adapt and care for your own child as if they’re my family.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love going out to do activities such as playing at a children's museum, looking at animals the zoo, bouncing at a trampoline park etc.. I am still fairly young so I enjoy taking part in it if they want me to without a problem! On the other hand, if there are activities done in the house, I enjoy reading books to the children, having a movie night, or just playing with their favorite toys with them.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Building a connection with the children so that they have full trust in me as their nanny. I am always excited to teach children new things and help them develop their brains as they grow but trust is where it starts!
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with children with autism at Action Behavior Centers for a year. ABA therapy helps increase communication skills, improve attention and social skills, and decrease any problem behaviors. I currently work at Brain Balance which means I also have experience with children, teenagers, and adults who struggle with ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, and learning disabilities. Our kids are at the core of what we do. They are what matters. Everything we do is focused on embracing their world, understanding them and achieving their greatest potential.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have nannied for a family that has twin daughters and they would always play tricks on me! They pretended to be eachother from time to time to get me confused and it was hilarious because one of them had a mole on their face that made them very easy to tell apart! Overall, it was adorable as I am a twin myself.
