A little bit about me

I will be graduating with my bachelor's in social work May 2023. I mainly have food service experience, but also have several years working with toddlers and elementary aged kids. I have been a nursey attendant at local churches, a summer camp counselor for 4th and 5th graders, a summer nanny for elementary kids, and have done a few seasons of before and after school care at the local community center. I enjoy working with kids ages 4-10, as this is where most of my experience is. Once I graduate, I am very available, however I would like to have the weekends and evenings off. I am comfortable with all pets and am willing to include limited pet care, normal housekeeping and cooking in my services. I have been vegan for almost four years and would love to only cook vegan food, but I am willing to do whatever is in the best interest of your kiddos!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really like to take time getting to know the kids I work with and try to encourage activities they are already interested in. I love nature and being outside. Hiking, swimming, going to the park, and playing in the backyard. I also love planning activities for kids to do such as crafts, science experiments, kid friendly cooking, reading outloud, and really any activities that your child may express interest in.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think the most important part of being a nanny is developing a family like relationship with the family you work with. Adding one more supportive adult person to your child's life should be fun, easy, rewarding, and most importanly a huge help to the busy lives of parents.

Although I have no direct experience with children with disabilities, I do wish to gain experience and learn more.
