A little bit about me

Hello! My name is wil tabron (they/them). I graduated with a BA in English from Hollins University in 2023; I have teaching experience with children ages infant-12, in a classroom and nanny setting, as well as with pets! I believe in compassion and empathy first, gentle parenting, and being outdoors as much as possible. I work with parents to come up with a child-centered approach that prioritizes the mental, emotional, and physical health of the child at all times. We are co-parenting, after all! My approach is child-centered; I believe as a caretaker it is my job to prepare children for anything life throws at them. This means teaching boundaries, emotional and nervous system regulation, and empathy for self, others, and their community.

I’ve worked in a Montessori school, a daycare, as a private nanny, and as tutor, as well as with children on the autism/ADHD spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Not as a nanny, but when I worked in a classroom. I had a (4 year old) child who had a really hard time with conflict resolution- they had a tendency to hit before suing their words. Seeing them develop those skills over the next couple of months, and eventually get to the point where I didn’t need to step in anymore to remind them to take a breath and use their words was extremely rewarding!
