Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes being the second oldest in my family with three younger siblings. After we moved here from Congo Kinshasa, it wasn't easy because my parents were always working, and I had to stay with my younger siblings. At that time, I had a sister who was 8, another who was 5, and a baby sibling. I had to step up as the big sister and take care of them.
Growing up, I also took care of other people's kids in my community, especially from church. Sometimes, people needed help with their children and would bring them to my house. Recently, a lady from my church got a job and needed help with her three kids—an 8-month-old, a 4-year-old, and a 2-year-old. She asked me to help until she could find the right schedule to stay with her kids, and I was more than happy to do it.

Some activities I enjoy doing with children include playing outdoor games like tag or hide-and-seek, doing arts and crafts projects, reading stories together, baking yummy treats, having dance parties, tea party play and braiding hair

The most important part about being a babysitter is ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in my care. This means being vigilant and attentive at all times, understanding each child's needs, and creating a nurturing environment where they feel secure and happy. Additionally, building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents is crucial, as it fosters open communication and ensures that everyone is on the same page regarding the child's care.

Well I have not had the opportunity to babysit special needs children, I am very open to learning and gaining experience in this area. I understand the importance of patience, empathy, and specialized care for children with special needs. I am committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for all children and am eager to receive any necessary training or guidance to ensure I can meet their unique needs effectively.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite babysitting moments was when I helped a child learn to ride a bike for the first time. Seeing their excitement and confidence grow with each attempt was incredibly rewarding. Another memorable moment was organizing a small play for the kids in my care; we spent days rehearsing, making costumes, and setting up a little stage. The joy and pride on their faces during the performance were unforgettable. Additionally, I cherish the quiet moments, like reading bedtime stories and seeing the kids drift off to sleep feeling safe and happy. These experiences have made my time as a babysitter truly special.
