I worked at a daycare assisting teachers and taking the kids outside, putting them down for nap time and giving them snack time. I also watched my neighbors 8 month old son while they went on vacation for 1 week and they paid me $200 although I didn’t charge.

My experience with special needs children...
I haven’t had any experience with a child who has special needs but I have went to a called “lake silver” where 5th graders(me) would mentor kids with special needs so that they always have someone to talk to and just have friends and pull them out of their comfort zone.

I once got hired to watch a 3, 6, and 8 year old(all girls) and they wanted a dog and begged me to convince their mom into getting one but their mom didn’t want to buy a dog because of an old saying her mom used to tell her but her girls wanted a puppy. So one day she texted me while I was at another job (working in fast food) to take them to the shelter as a surprise and let them play with the dogs and cats to see if they could agree on one. They all wanted different pets. The 3yo wanted a black chihuahua. 6yo wanted a lab mix and the 8yo wanted an orange cat. I told the mom and sent her pics because they were crying all day because she said no but then I asked her in their favor to get all of them bc they all seemed happy and she agreed so the next day she went back and adopted all of them and gave them their pets as a valentines gift.
