Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have been babysitting for over 5 years and have watched children of all ages! I also work in my church nursery, specifically in the newborn/infant nursery and 3 & 4 year old nursery!!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are safe is most important to me! Their safety becomes my first priority, above my own, and I will do everything humanly possible to make sure that nothing negative ever happens to them. However, it’s also very important to me that we are able to build a strong and trustworthy relationship and that they are able to have fun! I want to help then enjoy being a kid and for them to look forward to daily activities we may do together.
My experience with special needs children...
I took a LINKS class in high school where I went to science class with a special needs student and helped him with his school work and encouraged him to be involved with his peers. He also happens to be my neighbor so we get to see each other and chat outside of the school environment!
