A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Jillian, and I am a pre-nursing student at the University of Utah living in Salt Lake City. I have a passion for working with children and creating a safe, fun, and positive environment.

I have several years of experience as a gymnastics coach, working with children from preschool through middle school. This has taught me how to keep kids engaged, active, and structured while still making things fun.

I am a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and CPR certified, so safety is top priority for me. I am calm, responsible, and attentive in any situation. I also have reliable transportation and am comfortable driving children to and from activities.

I enjoy cooking and am happy to help with meals, snacks, and light household tasks. I grew up with pets, so I am very comfortable around animals and happy to help care for them as well.

I am dependable, caring, and truly enjoy building connections with the families I work with. I would love the opportunity to support your family!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have several years of experience as a gymnastics coach, working with children from preschool through middle school. I have also babysat for multiple families and volunteered annually as a Kids Games summer camp counselor.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy planning fun activities based on each child’s age and interests. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts, baking, playing board games, reading, building forts, and having movie nights. I also love keeping kids active by going to the park, taking walks, playing outside, swimming, and creating obstacle courses or simple gymnastics activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe and positive environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. I want parents to feel confident that their children are being cared for by someone dependable, patient, and attentive. I also believe it is important to follow each family’s routines and communicate openly with parents while building a genuine connection with their children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite moments was helping a child who was nervous about walking across the balance beam by herself. We took it one step at a time and practiced together until she finally made it all the way across. She was so proud of herself and could not wait to tell her parents when they arrived. Little moments like that are why I love working with children. It is so rewarding to help them build confidence, try something new, and see how excited they are when they accomplish something they were once afraid to do.
