One of my most memorable moments was with a family whom I was taking care of two wonder children for two weeks while their parents went on a cruise. Instead of just letting them watch tv everyday after school I made it into creativity time. Of course this was after they had finished homework if there was any, but it made the transitions to bedtime something to look forward to. One day we went outside and gather ed random items. Some of them were grass, sticks, rocks , eggcorns, leaves, a few pinecones too. The one child built a den that was for an imaginary ant super hero and the little girl well we built a cute tiny house for the fairies we read about in a book the day before. Some moments they didn't think it was going to be successful but a little encouragement with children go a long way especially when you are interested and till this day that moment comes up sometimes when I see them.
