I am big on sensory toys, hands-on activities and age-appropriate art projects. I work on developmental milestones while teaching independent play. It’s important to keep the children engaged and interested in learning. I love to sing and dance - making up educational songs. I love playing sports together, going on walks, to the park, library and museums. Keeping the mind and body active is key.

My experience with special needs children...

• I implemented treatment plans set forth by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst when I worked as an ABA Therapist.
• I collaborated with teachers and other staff specialists to develop weekly learning programs.
• I worked closely with parents and caregivers providing support, education, and guidance on how to reinforce the skills and behaviors learned during ABA therapy sessions.
• I created and implemented performance goals and utilized reward systems to reinforce positive behavior to my students.
• I provided one-on-one support to intellectually and emotionally disabled students.
• I collected and analyzed data to target specific behaviors when given parameters were met, which in turn identified when behaviors should be modified.
• I assisted in the planning coordination of IEP programming implementation for autism students in elementary classroom settings.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There’s so many meaningful moments when working with children. Every day is special in some way or another. I love it when a child says my name for the very first time or reaches a milestone like crawling or walking. Those are always so special to witness!
